Meet Melissa Kamenjarin, Success by Rx’s New Copywriter

As the new copywriter for Success by Rx, I’m excited to introduce myself to you. My name is Melissa Kamenjarin, and I am a Spanish/English translator, writer, editor and proofreader specializing in educational materials, health insurance, non-profits, and published fiction and non-fiction books, blogs and websites.

Some of my clients include educational materials publishers, published authors, fellow translators and interpreters, a leading health insurance company, and local and international non-profit organizations benefiting children and victims of human rights violations.

I serve as the Secretary on the Executive Council for my regional translation association, ATISDA (Association of Translators and Interpreters in the San Diego Area). I also write the blog for ATISDA and copy edit guest article submissions. A member of the American Translators Association (ATA), I am the Copy Editor for Caduceus, the ATA Medical Division’s publication, and have written and proofread articles for Intercambios, the ATA Spanish Language Division’s publication.

I also write for the nationally-distributed newsletter of a major health insurance company.

A graduate of UCLA who studied history and German, I love languages and have studied seven so far. I hold a Specialized Certificate in Translation (Spanish/English) from UCSD Extension.

I look forward to providing Success by Rx readers with informative articles about increasing productivity and performance in the freelance translation industry.
